Using a Hedge Trimmer to Cut Grass

Sometimes a hedge trimmer can be a great way to clear an area so a mower can have access. But doing it wrong could potentially make a bigger mess or even worse break the hedge trimmer. If you follow our step by step instructions however you will be absolutely fine.

Step by Step

  1. Remove All Obstacles that Could Potentially be Dangerous
  2. Use Proper Safety Attire
  3. Place yourself on your knees with the area of grass in front of you that you wish to cut.
  4. Start the trimmer and cut a few inches above the grass parallel to the ground.
  5. Once the small patch in front of you is done turn off the hedge trimmer and remove the felled grass.
  6. Repeat step 1 - 5 for your whole garden
  7. Dispose of Grass
